The One With all the Projects

I struggle with completing projects. I have way too much going on in my head all the time. Once, I was starting a new project. I believe it was a baby quilt or something. The person with me at that moment said, "Don't you want to go ahead and get a box to put that in when you move on to another project?" Wow. At the moment it was kind of annoying to have someone point out one of my flaws to me. Years later that has stayed with me, I haven't forgotten it.

I also haven't finished the quilt yet either.

That baby quilt is probably in a closet somewhere collecting dust right now. I'm not sure if I get bored with things and have to move on to something else, if I get distracted with the "NEW and cool project, or if its my "out of sight out of mind" fault. Regardless...I have tons of projects laying around at this very minute. Here's a few:
  • A Germany scrapbook from my trip in 2008
  • A canvas with my initial waiting to be painted for my scraproom
  • Sunday School lessons waiting to be organized
  • That darn baby quilt
  • Frames for the pictures from my wedding a year ago
  • Half finished knitting projects that I pick up every winter, but never finish
  • Ideas for things to sell on Etsy

Everytime I look around and get over-whelmed with all these unfinished projects, I vow to not start another one until all of the above are finished. But guess what? I see a really cool project online. I buy the supplies for it, maybe even get started on it...and then something NEW catches my eye.

My project list is like that song, "This is the project that never ends. Yes it goes on and on my friend..."

So what do you do to keep your projects from over-whelming you?
